Cultural Edgeworking

Being at the Edge is Edgeworking.

Being at the Edge of a Culture is Cultural Edgeworking.

If culture were a round table...

The center of the table is the culture's point of origin.

And the edge is where the table ends.

Beyond that edge, things fall out of the domain of that culture.

Modern culture has an edge.

Modern culture thoughtware says that beyond that edge:

  • It's treacherous and dangerous
  • You'd surely die
  • There's nothing else out there, just unusable space
  • It's inhumane
  • Don't even bother

These are mechanisms to keep you in the cult of modern culture.

These invisible fences at the edge keep humans in the domain of modern culture.

If you're reading this, you are likely an edgeworker.

One way or another, you've found your way to the edge.

Parents, Village Weavers, Gameworld Builders, Earth Guardians, Healers.

I'm taking a stand for Edgeworkers to gain the skills they need to:

~ Navigate with agency, elegance and purpose the cultural context they're in.

~ Have culture-to-culture conversations

~ Identify the point of origins of cultures

~ Create new regenerative cultural context

I don't know any other place where this conversation is happening at this level of agency.

This goes beyond personal development, healing, fixing yourself, becoming a better person, successful, getting rich, being happy.

Becoming a Cultural Edgeworker is a stand.

And an empowering one.

There's not one culture that is right, or the best, or the one way.

They are cultures.

They are weird.

They have a center, a context, an edge, principles, traditions, rules of engagement, etc.

Within you, you carry seeds of the culture you want to see exist in the world.

Context is the soil for your seed.

Your job is to go through the initiation processes needed to source the soil for your seeds to sprout and grow.

Ready? Set! Go!

Love,
Jorge Pedret

I've been listening to the audiobook Grandfather from Tom Brown Jr. This book, narrated by the author, is a gem for those seeking for answers about: ~ The role of human beings on Earth ~ What did it look like in north america before and while modern culture started taking over? ~ How is survival and living connected? ~ Are human beings a life taking parasite species? ~ What is really going on beyond what we were taught in school? ~ How do I live my vision and purpose? In the book, Grandfather...

10 years ago my heart shattered about life. The biggness of the world. My belonging in this world. The cruelty of human beings. The level of numbness that human beings use to survive in this world. Humans exploiting life, animals, plants and other human beings. The robotic way of spending a whole life working to make somebody else rich. The frantic zombie-like chase of money and success. I didn't know then, but I was grieving. A grief that was bigger than my being. An ancient grief that...

It’s May 20th. Today is my birthday, and I want to celebrate it this morning by writing in this space. For me, this writing space is about being at my edge. It’s also about sharing what I’ve been discovering and making invitations to be, play and work together. This week, I’ve been discovering how much of my orientation is about controlling what others think of me. The sensation is that I walk around not looking through my own eyes, but through the eyes of others looking back at me. It’s...
